Varvarusa Golf Club Trophy
Techniques: modeling, lost-wax casting, patina
Materials: Bronze, beech wood
The patinated bronze sculpture with a beech wood base was created for the Varvarusa Golf Club in Filignano (IS) for the 2019 international nine-hole tournament. Every year, the president of the Varvarusa Golf Club officiates the passing of the prize from the current champion to the next one.
The trophy crystallizes the movement of a golf ball, the shape has been decomposed and multiplied following an ideal trajectory: the parabola, the bounce, and the approach to the hole. The plaque clearly refers to the green. The trophy measures about 25 cm.
